Last night we (myself, Tony, Dave) finally got together to record a new song: "Try To See It My Way."
Contrary to what you might think, getting together to record only once a year has some benefits. One of which is that we've now decided to finish a song per session, because we know if we don't finish it then, it will never get finished.
Another benefit is that it forces us to write new material. In this case, on the spot, or very nearly. We have a lot of material that's already been demo'd to the nth degree, so we wanted to try something new. I'd been playing with a little riff less than a week ago (after seeing Sloan) so we just built that into a quick little song, clocking in at a concise 2:15 or so. We value brevity.
All of that is a roundabout way of saying we're taking a new "less is more" approach and should have the song posted soon.
Stay tuned...
